Otis M "Buddy" Davis, Jr, 73, of Jasper went to be with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at his home in Jasper surrounded by family.
Memorial service was 2:00pm on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Jasper First Assembly of God Church with private burial in Jasper Cemetery. Cremation arrangements are by Coffman Funeral Home of Jasper.
The son of the late Otis M Davis Sr and Lottie (Boomer) Davis was born June 30, 1941 in Jasper, Arkansas. Buddy graduated with the class of 1959 from Jasper High School and soon after joined the Air Force. He spent 5 years in Spain where he met his beautiful wife, Maria. After serving for twenty years, he decided to retire and bring his little family home to his beloved Jasper. He also retired from the Jasper School, where he enjoyed working for 16 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Otis M Davis Sr and mother, Lottie Boomer Davis; sister, Helen Davis Spencer and brother-in-law, Gene Spencer; sister, Lillian Yvonne Davis; sister, Lela Davis Reynolds; family friend, Margaret Vann; and niece, Kathy Spencer Franklin.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Maria J Davis; son, Tony Davis and wife, Marie; son, Kenny Davis and wife, Reesha; daughter, Maria Clark and husband, Adam; granddaughters, Ashley Campbell and husband, Tyler; Christina Reddell and husband, Dustin and McKinnley Davis; grandsons, Otis M "Braeden" Davis IV, Garrison Davis, and Eric Davis; great-granddaughter, Annalise Campbell and soon arriving great-grandson, Theodore Campbell; his brother-in-law, Thomas Reynolds; nephews, David Spencer and wife, Ruby Jean; Kevin Reynolds and wife, Jane; three great-nephews; five great-nieces; many great-great-nieces and nephews; a host of other friends and family throughout the community and his wonderful church family.
