Opal Wilson, of Harrison, Arkansas, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at the age of 93.

The daughter of the late James and Josie (Hall)Norton was born on June 19, 1928 in Salus, Arkansas.  She was a lifelong resident of Boone County.  Opal retired from Emerson Electric after 16 years and was a faithful member of Harrison First Assembly for over 60 years.

Opal loved the Lord and she loved going to church and the fellowship with her church family.  She enjoyed singing, especially old gospel hymns.  Opal loved her family, always putting them first.  She was a loving, caring and devoted mom and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, H. James "Bud" Wilson; her brothers, Karl, Ray, J.B., and Dolphis and her sisters, Tessie, Fern, Joanna and Melba-Joyce.

Opal is survived by her children and their spouses, Brenda Bell of Harrison, Linda and Ricky Barber of Arcadia, FL, Susan Wilson of Harrison and James and Trish Wilson of Lowell, AR; her grandkids, Christen, Jamie, Brandon and Summer; step-grandkids, Wyatt, Lucy, Shayna, James Earl, Brian and Audie; 18 great grandkids and a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives and church family.

Funeral service will be at 10 AM, Monday, August 30, 2021 at Harrison First Assembly, 1329 W. Stephenson Ave with Pastor Dennis Selvidge officiating.  Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 29 from 5 -7 PM at Harrison First Assembly.

Pallbearers are Ricky Barber, Clint McInvale, Steven Graham, Lester Daniels, Robin Noell and James Wilson.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Harrison First Assembly in her memory.
