Obituary

Norman Dennis Greenlee, age 72, of Bergman, Arkansas, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 31, 2020 surrounded by his family.

He was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas on November 12, 1948, one of three children to Victor Greenlee and Alta (Kinard) Greenlee Riley.  He lived in Boone County most of his life and attended Life Abundant Church.

Norman served in the US Army and Army National Guard, and was a veteran of the Vietnam War and Cuban Refugee Crisis.  He retired in 2014 from Fed-Ex after working 31 years as a truck and diesel mechanic.  He was a hard worker and self-taught in most fields, always determined to accomplish things on his own without help from others.  He was a patient mentor to many co-workers and his grandchildren, teaching them how to fix things on their own.  He was always offering to lend a hand to anyone that needed help.

Norman loved his family tremendously.  He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids and extended family.  He was a devoted husband to his wife of 53 years and a loving, caring father, grandfather and brother.  In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking, fishing and mowing his lawn.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Kevin Greenlee, his brother, Billy Greenlee, his sister, Marie Cain and his father-in-law, John Smith.

Norman is survived by his wife, Ruby Greenlee; his daughter, Beverly Rogers and husband Roger and his son, Billy Greenlee; nine grandchildren, Vince Rogers (Kaitlynn), Corey Rogers, Josh Rogers (Kendra), Katlynn Greenhaw (Beau), Nathan Greenlee, Kaden Greenlee, Avin Greenlee, Garion Greenlee and Cole Greenlee; four great grandchildren, Mercy, Caleb, Dra and Kambri; his mother-in-law, Bertha Smith and a host of nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law and many friends.

Funeral service will be at 2 PM, Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Harrison with Rev. Billy Edgar and Rev. Roger Rogers officiating.  Burial will follow at Milum Cemetery.

Visitation will be open Monday from Noon to 6 PM, with the family receiving friends from 4 PM-6 PM at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Vince Rogers, Corey Rogers, Josh Rogers, Brad Cain, Daniel Bailey and Billy Peasley.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in his memory can be made to Life Abundant Church, PO Box 287, Bergman, AR, 72615 or Milum Cemetery Fund, PO Box 302, Lead Hill, AR, 72644.
