Obituary
Noah Elijah Woods, age 80 of Mossville, AR passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at Jasper, AR.
He was born July 23, 1925 in the Mt. Vernon Community of Johnson County, the son of Willie Emery and Susie Frances (Sparks) Woods.
Noah was a life lone resident of Newton County, working in the timber and sawmill business most of his life. He had been of the United Baptist Faith for many years.
Those that preceded him in death were his parents; his wife, Eileen (Edgmon) woods, on July 27, 1989; and sisters, Nettie Lewis and Ethel Donley.
Survivors are sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Sharon Woods of Compton, Spankie and Yvonne Woods of Mossville, Kennie and Trish Woods of Harrison, Landon and Shelley Woods of Mossville, and Billy and Mary Woods of Kingston; daughter and son-in-law, Katie and Kevin Robertson of Kingston; sisters, Dosha Robinson of Swain, and Nellie Cranford, Audrey White, and Ruby Rogers all of Huntsville; six grandsons, three granddaughters, and three great grandsons.
Services were 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 10 at Mossville United Baptist Church with Bro. Bobby Young officiating. Burial was in Mossville Cemetery. Pallbearers are Bradley Woods, Dustin Logue, Pete Lager, marty Edgmon, Johnny Hampton, Arvel Reynolds, David Edgmon, Dorlin Sparks, Travis Woods, Ray Lewis, and Wesley Sparks. Visitation was held 6-8 P.M. Thursday at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper.
