Neva Lee "Jack" Coffman, age 94 of Harrison, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2006 at Hospice House in Mtn. Home. The daughter of Albert and Martha Cora (Carroll) Blalock, was born Nov. 22, 1911 at Eureka Springs. Neva Lee and her husband, Leonard Coffman founded the Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall in the early 1930's. She also owned a flower shop on the square in Marshall and was active in Eastern Star and the First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leonard Coffman; a son, Billy Bert Coffman; one sister, Vera; and one brother.
Survivors include a niece, Martha Arends and her husband, Warren of Jonesboro, their adult children, Lesley, Lisa and Mark; one grandson, Billy Coffman and his wife of Boston, Mass.; one nephew George Kirby Coffman and his wife of Benton; and a great many caring and close friends who admired and loved this very special lady.
Cremation and arrangements were handled by Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Interment was Wednesday, July 26th, at Maplewood Cemetery, followed by a memorial service at the funeral home. Billy Wheeler, Pastor of the First Christian Church in Marshall officiated. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Harrison.
