Nellie F. Jordan, age 81 of the Hilltop Community passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at Hilltop Nursing Home.

The daughter of William and Gladys (Cozad) Owens was born August 14, 1925 in Quincy, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John J. Jordan; a sister, LaVeta Glascock; and a brother, William "Bill" Owens.

Survivors are her daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Jerry Jordan of Harrison; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Arlinda Lashbrook of West Virginia; daughter, Terry Hall of Wichita, KS, son, Lyle Lashbrook of Derby, KS, son and daughter-in-law, Cordell and Christine Lashbrook of Littleton, CO; step-daughters, Mary Lou Shoup of Greenwood, MO and Eileen Ort of Jacksonville, FL; sisters and brothers-in-law, Theresa and Tony Smith, Jr. of Quincy, IL, Dorothy and Ed Durst of Quincy, IL, and Norma Jean and Ross Fisk of Bingham, IL. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; and one great great grandson.

Nellie's family would like to offer a special thank you to Dr. Blake and Amanda Chitsey, Legacy Hospice, and the wonderful nurses, CNA's and staff of Hilltop Nursing Home.

Graveside service was Monday at Hilltop Cemetery with Rev. Kerry Liggett officiating. Pallbearers were family and friends. Honorary pallbearers were her grandsons. Visitation was held Sunday at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
