Obituary
Nelda Christine Rushing, age 55 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Monday, July 11, 2016 in Harrison.
The daughter of Leodus "Blackie" and Ruth Christine (Gossett) Rickett was born on December 24, 1960 in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
Nelda was a florist for twenty-five years and never lost her love for flowers. She was a lifelong craft-a-holic and always had at least five projects going. She was a lifetime member of Junior Auxiliary and an avid biker, as a member of Women on Wheels. She was also a member of Eagle Heights Baptist Church.
Nelda never met a stranger and gathered many wonderful friends throughout her life. Her love for her family, friends and her cats will resonate for years to come.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Nelda is survived by her husband, Paul Rushing of the home; 2 daughters, Samantha Davidson of Harrison, Arkansas and Katye Rushing of St. Louis, Missouri; her mother-in-law, Jenny Rushing and many other family and friends who will mourn her passing.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 16 at 2:00 pm at the Eagle Heights Baptist Church Life Center in Harrison.
