IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Nancy
Watt
October 12, 1932 – June 14, 2025
Nancy Watt, age 92, of Valley Springs, Arkansas, passed away at home Saturday, June 14, 2025.
She was born in Newport, Kentucky on October 12, 1932, to Arthur Hanks and Etta (Williams) Hanks. She married James Watt on July 10, 1952, and was a faithful pastor's wife for 59 years until the passing of her beloved husband in 2011.
She studied at Twin Lakes Vo-Tech and earned her license as an LPN in 1978, working at Harrison Nursing Home for several years. She later went into business with her son Rodney at Boone County Upholstery until 1999, when she owned and operated an antique and collectible shop called The Trinket Box in Valley Springs until 2007.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Etta Hanks; her husband, James Watt; her oldest daughter, Lee Etta Pflueger; her oldest son, James Watt, Jr.; her brothers, Gene and Jack Hanks; her sister, Cynthia Baker; and two grandchildren, Jonathan Pflueger and Kelsey Smith.
Nancy is survived by her son, Rodney Watt (Margie); her daughter, Peggy Smith (Johnny); son-in-law, Al Pflueger; 9 grandchildren, Amy Minefee (Jason), Andrew Pflueger (Stefann), Michelle Holt, Tasha Watt, Aubrey Watt, Tyler Watt, Lesley Horton (Michael), Bethany Klimkiewicz, and Briley Austin; 13 great grandchildren, Liam, Aria, Adelaide, Joseph, Jacklyn, Jalee, Chloe, Roxie, Hayla, Kennedy, Silas, Journey, and Jaymeson; 2 great great grandchildren, Joseph Jr., and Brooks; and a host of nieces nephews, and extended relatives.
Nancy was a dedicated Christian who remained faithful to her Lord and Savior. She is now seeing the beautiful sights her poor eyesight could have only imagined below. We know she stands in awe. She would want to leave the message that the most important decision in your life is to accept The Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and to then live for Him. She was a mighty prayer warrior who will be greatly missed.
The visitation and funeral will be on Friday, June 20 (2025) at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. The visitation will be from Noon until 2 PM, with the funeral service immediately following at 2 PM. Bro. Al Pflueger will officiate. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Joseph Alexander, Jason Minefee, Tasha Watt, Joey Little, Bryan Hefley, and Michael Horton.
