Alma Nadine Brown, 73 of Bellefonte passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at home surrounded by her family.

The daughter of Harold and Dora (Biles) Poyner was born December 20, 1944 at Mount Sherman, Arkansas. She was a lifelong resident of Newton and Boone Counties.

Nadine enjoyed crocheting, reading and cooking; and she and her husband pastored Watkins Church for several years. She was a loving and caring wife and mother and an incredible grandmother. She loved having her family together.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Richard, George and Orville Poyner and a son-in-law, Brent Crow.

Nadine is survived by her husband of 56 years, James Brown of the home; two daughters, Suzy Blodgett and husband Norman of Bellefonte and Connie Kate Crow of Bergman; two brothers, Jim Poyner and wife Frances of Green Forest and Jerry Conner and wife Annette of OK; three daughters, Janice Gash and husband Jerry of Western Grove, Marion Jefferson of OK and Phyllis Reeves of Rogers; five grandchildren, Sara Jane, Elisabeth, Heather, James and Ariel and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who loved her and will miss her.

Services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, May 21, 2018 at the New Hope Tabernacle of Faith in Western Grove, officiated by Rev. Donald Brown with burial to follow at Mt. Sherman Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church beginning at 1:00 PM.

Pallbearers are family and friends.
