Milo Jason
Smith
June 12, 1940 – May 16, 2026
Milo Jason Smith, of Harrison, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center. He was 85 years old.
The son of Merle Jason and Maude (Perry) Smith was born on June 12, 1940 in Leslie, Arkansas.
Milo spent many years working in construction as a dedicated heavy equipment operator. He had attended Valley Springs First Baptist Church and was a proud member of the Operator Engineers Local 101.
Outside of work, Milo loved spending time outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was the kind of man who never met a stranger and always had a smile to share with everyone he encountered. Above all else, Milo cherished his family. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and the best grandfather anyone could ask for. His kindness, warmth, and joyful spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Roma Maxine Smith; his parents; and three sisters, Claudia Colson, Madge Jackson, and Virginia Newman.
Survivors include his children, Milo Smith, Jr., Cynthia Kirkendyle, Tricia Young (Jeremy Vance), and Pamela Dixon (Pyro Aldrich); stepchildren, Ralph Hosman, Jr., Angela Gabbard, Juliet Hunsaker, Clark Hosman, and Kristi Sparks; the mother of his children, Patricia Smith Leal; grandchildren, Laura and Michael Jason Oliger, Chyna Dixon, Ashley Qualls and Isaac Young; several step grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
A memorial graveside service will be held at a later date at Sulphur Springs Cemetery.
