Georgia Mildred Earl, age 93 of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away at home on Sunday, January 23, 2022.
The daughter of George and Della Ruth (Wilson) Odum was born January 30, 1928, in Stanford, Texas.
She moved to Arkansas in 1964 from Texas and was a member of The Pentecostal Tabernacle Church. She was also a member of the Eastern Star and in her younger years participated on several league bowling teams.
Mildred enjoyed crossword and jigsaw puzzles and playing games. She loved listening to Old Southern Gospel Music and watching Christian speakers and the Hallmark Channel. She even listened to rap music with grandsons Josh and Bryan. She loved Pepsi and Fritos, day old popcorn and always had a pack of Freedent Chewing Gum.
Mildred was a classy lady, to the truest sense of the word. She could be counted on for proper manners, punctuality and modesty, but also for her wit, education and speaking her mind. She was the center of her family, always loving, nurturing and forgiving. Mildred loved her family and spending time with them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carl Otis Earl; four children, Gloria Taylor, Carol Lynn Kelley, Stephen Earl; and Michael Earl; son-in law, Ronald Kelley; daughter-in-law, Marcia Earl; her sister, Dorothy Worthington and brother, Alfred Odum.
Mildred is survived by 11 grandchildren, Jeff (Margarita) Taylor, Gary (Toye) Taylor, Laura (Guy) Taylor, Larissa (Robert) Lee, Stacey (Jennifer) Kelley, Stephanie Earl, Aaron Earl, Jason (Christy) Earl, Amber (Blake) Gilliam, Josh (Becky) Earl and Bryan Earl; 26 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren; a son-in-law, Leo Taylor; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be at 2 PM, Friday, January 28, 2022, at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Shekels officiating. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 PM – 8 PM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Jeff Taylor, Gary Taylor, Stacey Kelley, Aaron Earl, Jason Earl, Josh Earl and Bryan Earl.
Honorary Pallbearers are Jordan Earl, Blake Gilliam, Robert Lee, Christian Greenwood, Christian Earl, James Earl, Trent Earl and Brock McFarland.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Pentecostal Tabernacle Church, 909 E. Washington Ave, Harrison, AR, 72601.
