Milan "Mel" Pavur, age 75 of Blue Eye, Missouri, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013 at his home in Blue Eye.
The son of Paul Peter and Veronica (Dibelcar) Pavur was born June 1, 1937 in Chicago Illinois.
Mel lived in Blue Eye for 13 years after moving there from Harrison. He served in the United States Air Force. Later he worked as a master sheet metal mechanic and model builder for several aircraft manufacturers until his retirement. He had a passion for fishing, scuba diving, flying, riding his motorcycle, camping and traveling. Mel moved to the area from California, where he loved spending time in the desert exploring.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, and one sister.
He is survived by his wife, Helen of the home: three daughters, Debra Paxton and husband Jeff, of Blue Eye, Missouri, Misty Dodson and husband, Scott of Harrison, Arkansas and Robin Cartwright of Harrison, Arkansas; one son, Brent Heard and wife Nona of Lead Hill, Arkansas: grandchildren, Kristopher, Carley, Kelsey, Jacob, Garrett, Brianna, Justin, Alexandria, Haley, Adam and Sebastian; great-grandchildren, Hailey, Austin and Hunter.
Funeral service was Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison, with Larry Kackley officiating. Visitation was Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
Pallbearers was Jeff Paxton, Kris Pavur, Brent Heard, Scott Dodson, Joe Robinson and Mike Miller.
Burial will be in Maple Leaf Cemetery in Harrison.
