IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Micheal Edward
Maybee
June 6, 1976 – December 17, 2022
46-year old Micheal Edward Maybee of Bergman, Arkansas, was called home on Saturday, December 17, 2022.
Born in Harrison, Arkansas, on June 6, 1976, to Dennis and Shelly (Reed) Maybee, Micheal found his calling in the cattle industry at 14. He began working for the local sale barn just two years later and remained until the time of his passing. His hard-working spirit and dependability ensured that his reputation for being helpful and honest to deal with was known far and wide.
Though he may have seemed quiet to some, Micheal could talk livestock with anyone, had perfect comedic timing, and loved to share with and about his family. In 2006, he married the love of his life, Renae Wallace, and in 2011, they welcomed the light of their home, son Edward. You may have seen the father-son duo at the sale barn where Edward was learning the livestock trade by walking in his dad's shadow.
When Micheal wasn't working, family time often found Renae behind the wheel, Edward talking from the back seat, and him asleep in the passenger seat as they headed out on their next adventure. It's these cherished memories we'll hold forever in our hearts.
Micheal is survived by his deeply loved wife Renae, his mini-me Edward, mother Shelly, sister Stacey Kemp and brother-in-law Brian Kemp, nieces Emma, Micheala, and Aubrey, great-nieces Kilee and Lauralai, great-nephews Elliot and Ronon, father-in-law Ron Wallace, godmother Aunt Beverly Coleman, cousin Eddie Coleman, and a host of aunts, uncles, family, and friends who will miss his laughter, advice, and steadfast presence.
He was preceded in death by his father Dennis, grandparents Allen and Cybil Slavens and Sherman and Patricia Maybee, his mother-in-law Lenora Wallace, and cousins Tricia Coleman and Justin Maybee.
Visitation will be at Coffman Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 pm, Wednesday, December 21. A private family graveside service will be held at Plumlee Cemetery. The service will be performed by Dan Coley and Donna Maybee will deliver a prayer.
Pallbearers will be son Edward Maybee, Eddie Coleman, Adam Frazier, Brian Kemp, Shane Arnold, Claude Smith, Lynden Judy, Duard Maybee, and Landon Logan. Honorary pallbearers include Ron Wallace, Michael Brown, David Powers, Dr. Richard Brown, the "State Boys," Dr. Heath Jones, Dr. Austin Williams, and all past and present Cattlemen Livestock employees.
As his sister Stacey said, "Micheal was a beloved brother who always took care of me and had my back no matter what." This describes his loyalty to a T. He was a friend to many and will be missed by all who were blessed to know him.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial account has been established at any Equity Bank location, or you can drop off at Cattlemen's Livestock Auction or any Powell Feed location.
