Michael Learl Pratt, of Harrison, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center. He was 69 years old.

The son of Ephus Pratt and Leona Belle (Carter) Taffar was born on April 19, 1957 in Harrison, Arkansas.

Michael was a dedicated and hardworking man who spent nearly 30 years working at Wabash, a job he truly loved. His strong work ethic was evident throughout his career, and he took great pride in never missing a day of work.

In his free time, Michael enjoyed woodworking and especially loved creating things with his own hands to give as gifts to others. He was a devout Christian man whose faith was an important part of his life, always striving to put God first in all that he did. Above all, Michael dearly loved his family and treasured every moment he was able to spend with them. He was also a proud and patriotic American who had a deep love for his country and the United States of America.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ephus Pratt; his stepfather, Lyle Taffar, Sr; maternal grandparents, Berlie and Alfred Carter; paternal grandparents, Monte and Harrison Pratt; and one great grandmother, Belle Cowles. 

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Mary Pratt, of the home; his mother, Leona Taffar, of Harrison; two sons, Bruce and Kelvin Pratt, both of Harrison; stepson, Matt (Heather) Lehr, of Tennessee; four grandchildren, Ashlyn, Brayden, Christian, and Harper; three brothers, Tim Pratt, Randy Pratt, and Lyle Taffar, Jr., all of Harrison; one sister, Renee Hunt, of Harrison; step brothers, Ralph (Daisy) Taffar, of Harrison and Ray (Penny) Taffar, of Beebe, Arkansas; step sister, Elainen Taffar, of Beebe, Arkansas; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other family and friends.  

Visitation will be at 10:00 AM followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM both on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison.  Pastor Jethy Henson will officiate.  Burial will be in Sand Hill Cemetery.  Pallbearers are Leon Carter, Keith Hunt, Austin Hunt, Ted Carter, Alvin Brasel, and Rick Carter.  Honorary pallbearers include Kenneth Hunt, C.J. Carter, Hayden Pratt, Tim Pratt, Randy Pratt, Lyle Taffar, Jr., Kelvin Pratt, and Bruce Pratt.
