Obituary
Michael Pettyjohn, 72 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at his home.
The son of Jack and Minnie Belle (Avery) Pettyjohn was born April 24, 1946 at the Naval Airbase in Oakland, California.
Michael was a resident of Harrison for 14 years, moving from New Hampshire after retirement from the US Air Force. He served over 23 years in the service and was a decorated Vietnam War Veteran. He retired from active service in 1987 at the rank of Master Sargent.
He loved to play poker every Tuesday night with his friends and watch TV, especially game shows. He also enjoyed computer games and loved his dog Sampson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Lucy Pettyjohn and a granddaughter, LaDonna Hassle.
Michael is survived by a daughter, Donna Lopez of Texas; a sister, Patricia "Trish" Dickey and husband Steve of Colorado; his grandchildren, Malinda Smith of Harrison, Mitchell Hassle and Matthew Hassle both of New Hampshire; a great grandson, Mitchell Hassle, Jr. of New Hampshire; a niece, Sara Dickey of Wyoming and a nephew, Jason Dickey of Oregon.
At Michael's request, no services will be held.
