Michael Lee McClelland, age 74 of Jasper, AR, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at his home in Jasper.

The son of Merwin and Lora (Gilmore) McClelland was born October 30, 1948, in Kansas City, MO.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his son Jason Lee McClelland; an infant son, Matthew McClelland; and his brother, Keith McClelland.

Michael was a member of the Lurton Assembly of God Church where he served on the Deacon Board since 2002.  He worked at BNSF Railroad in Kansas City, KS for 20 years. He then moved to Springdale, AR, and opened up an auto sales and service business.   In 1999, he moved to Newton County and worked reading meters for Carrol Electric for 10 years.  He also served on the Farm Bureau Board for 15 years.  He was a remote control (RC) airplane enthusiast and enjoyed building and flying them.  He enjoyed the outdoors and dabbled in everything, including fishing and gardening.

Michael is survived by his wife, Kennetha McClelland of the home; his son Michael Shane McClelland and wife Lyn of Rogers, AR; his daughter, Michaela McMillan and husband Brent of Conway, AR; his brothers, Kelly and wife Janet of Deer, AR, Timothy and wife Pam of Fayetteville, AR, and Mark and wife Linda of Little Rock, AR; his sister, Christina Studna and husband Regan of Olathe, KS; his grandchildren, Shane McClelland, Kindra McClelland, Hannah Vogt, Jason Elijah McClelland, and Ace McMillan; and his great-grandchildren, Westlyn and Greyson.

The funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper, AR. With Pastor Stan Taylor officiating.  Burial will follow in Crossroads Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be his brothers Kelly, Timothy, and Mark McClelland, Seth McClelland, Kevin McClelland, and Brent McMillan.
