Obituary
Melba J. Kinard, age 65 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Saturday, October 22, 2011 at UAMS in Little Rock, Arkansas.
The daughter of Henry Marshall and Ruth Marilyn (Bryant) Ivey was born June 12, 1946 in Fairmont, North Carolina.
Melba retired from the Arkansas Department of Health Home Services and was a member of Faith Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed music and painting.
She will be remembered by all that knew her by her infectious laugh.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ellis Kinard; a daughter, Rhonda Kinard; and a sister, Ellen Sockey.
Survivors are her children, Erika Houston and husband Patrick of Harrison and Charlton Kinard and wife Karen of Harrison; brothers, Richard Ivey of Alba, Florida and George Bryant of Avon Park, Florida; sisters, Sandra Jones of Ft. Myers, Florida and Marsha Nichols of LeHigh Acres, Florida; grandchildren, Kali Kinard, Cade Kinard, Sarah Houston, and Tish Holt; and great-grandsons, Sheldon and Tatum Holt.
Cremation and arrangments are being handled by Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
Memorial service was Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at Faith Assembly of God Church with Rev. Arlis Thrasher officiating.
