Ida Maxine Davis, age 92 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Wednesday February 6, 2019 in Harrison.

The daughter of Claude Oscar Lay and Sarah Jane (Roberts) Lay was born on January 10, 1927 in Bellefonte, Arkansas.

Maxine loved to quilt and crochet. She attended church her entire life.  She always enjoyed being on the go, whether it was shopping, going to ballgames or absolutely anything that involved her grandchildren or great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gene Davis; 2 sisters, Lorene Sitzler and Modene Cooper and a brother, Edward Lay.

Maxine is survived by 2 sons, Larry Davis and wife Linda of Harrison and Steve Davis and wife Allison of Harrison; 2 daughters, Sandra Friend of Rogers, Arkansas and Emma Bouch and husband Gary of Omaha, Arkansas; a sister, Willadean Meyer of Irvington, Illinois; 9 grandchildren, Tori Matlock, Sarah Martin, Jessie Smith, Staci Tucker, Kim Friend, Stephanie Benton, Brynn Davis, Avery Davis and Ella Davis; 9 great-grandchildren and many other family and friends who will mourn her passing.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 10:00 am at the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Harrison with Danny McMullen officiating.  Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.  A visitation will be held Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers include Scot Matlock, Jevin Smith, Scott Tucker, Craig Martin, Dan Benton and Brett Williams.  Honorary pallbearers are Paul Marquis and Dr. Tom Leslie.
