Maryanne Pierson, 85 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Monday, January 22, 2018 at home.
She was born in El Dorado, Kansas September 18, 1932. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Capps, Arkansas and had been living in Harrison for the past 7 years, moving from Rossville, Indiana. She was a member of the DAV, the Women's Auxiliary (WAAF) of Oklahoma and the American Legion of Oklahoma.
Maryanne was active with her church and enjoyed crocheting and sewing. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Eva Wilson Bratton, her husband, George V. Pierson, 3 sisters, Ester Cauble, Lydia Rollings and Edith Rollings Baldwin and 2 brothers, Walter Rollings and George Rollings.
Maryanne is survived by 3 sons, Wilbur Goertzen of Walton, KS, Johnathan Decker and wife Shirley of Independence, MO and Michael Pierson, Sr., and wife Cheryl of Rossville, IN; 3 daughters, Elizabeth Whitlock of Topeka, KS, Ruth (Debbie) Dilling and husband Rich of Ecru, MS and Donna Terrell and her Husband Steve of Harrison; 2 brothers, Paul Rollings and wife Winky and Herbert Rollings and wife Roxanne all of Wichita, KS; a sister, Alice Powers and husband Samuel of Haysville, KS; 27 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 26, 2018 at Trinity Baptist Church in Capps with Pastor R.J. Sweatman and Pastor Michael Pierson, Sr. officiating. Burial will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Walker Cemetery in Welch, Oklahoma.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 PM at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
Pallbearers are Michael (Eric) Pierson, Jr., Jeremiah Pierson, Patrick Pierson, Cliff Cortell, Wayne Bowman and Marc Hall. Honorary Pallbearers are Matthew Pierson and Troy Goertzen.
