Mary K. Haver, age 86 of Harrison, Arkansas died peacefully Friday, March 22, 2013.
Born October 1, 1926 to the Rev. Dr. O.B. Enselman and Genevieve (Stratton) Enselman, she grew up in downstate Illinois.
She married William B. Haver in 1947, living in eastern Iowa, Minneapolis, Salt Lake City, and Los Angeles until they retired to farm on Star Mountain near Marshall, Arkansas nearly 40 years ago. It was there that she became an accomplished weaver, her work honored by an exhibit at Boone County Library.
After the death of her husband, she undertook volunteer work for various causes and charities, including Hospice of the Hills, Friends of the Library, the Humane Society, and the Adult Day Care Center.
She is survived by a brother, Bruce Enselman of Allegan, Michigan; a daughter, Susan of Troy, New Hampshire; a son, William of Binghamton, New York; two grandchildren and two-greatgrandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made tot the charity of your choice or to the Southern Poverty Law Center.
A memorial service is pending.
Cremation and arrangements are being handled by Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
