Obituary
Mary Josephine Emerson, of Ponca, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2016 in Harrison at the age of 93.
The daughter of George Henry and Lillie Virginia Cowan was born October 25, 1923 at Killeen, Texas.
Mary moved to Newton County in 1976 and was a Jehovah's Witness attending the Kingdom Hall at Deer. She loved cooking, sewing and Jehovah.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Emerson in 2012 and her five brothers.
Mary is survived by her children, Susan Emerson of Jasper, AR; Dr. Daniel Emerson and wife Kim of Kirkwood, MO; Janet Emerson of St. Louis, MO and Robert Emerson and wife Brenda Sides of Kirkwood, MO; 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the Kingdom Hall in Deer with Joe Sain officiating. Private family interment services will be held at a later date at Beechwood Cemetery in Boxley, Arkansas.
