Mary Kay Cain, age 77, of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away Friday, August 20, 2021 at NARMC.

The daughter of Ted and Mary (Denning) Mehmert was born on September 23, 1943 in Fort Madison, Iowa.  She was a resident of Arkansas since 1974 and had attended Mary Mother of God Catholic Church.  Mary was a long-time employee at Levi-Strauss, working there until they closed their doors.

Mary adored her grandkids and playing with them, she especially looked forward to their Saturday game days.  She also enjoyed playing cards and raising cattle.

She was very close to her siblings and loved them dearly.  Mary was caring but feisty, and known to be a little stubborn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jake Cain; two brothers, Paul Mehmert and Jim Mehmert; a daughter, Betty Jane "BJ" Rippenkroger and a grandson, Derrick Cain.

Mary Kay is survived by three children, Angie (Gene) Williams, Danny (Tracie) Cain and Tracy (David) Cash; brother, Frank Memhert and a sister, Roseann Battenfield; 13 grandkids, 10 great grandkids; 1 great great grandkid and a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives and many friends who loved her and will miss her.
