Obituary

Mary Sue Bower, age 63 of Piercetown, Arkansas passed away, Thursday, March 24, 2011 at her home.

The daughter of Virgie and Hilman (Martin) Middleton was born on April 8, 1947 at Redrock, Arkansas.

Mary was a homemaker, a member of the Piercetown Holiness Church and a lifetime resident of Newton County. She loved to quilt and was a member of the RSVP Quilting Club in Harrison. She also, loved gardening, canning, garage sales, going to church and her family.
She would have celebrated her 64th birthday on April 8, 2011.

She was married to Luell Bower on February 27, 1965 at Lurton, Arkansas by Uncle Dan Heffley. Mary and Luell just celebrated 46 years of marriage in February of this year.

Her parents preceded her in death along with four brothers, Odell, Delmar, Leon and Robert Middleton; one sister, Norma Jean Bolin; an infant daughter, Patricia Sue Bower and an infant grandson, James Luell Bower.

Survivors are her husband, Luell Bower of Piercetown, Arkansas; three sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Angie Bower of Western Grove, Arkansas, Anthony and Kim Bower of Piercetown, Arkansas and Adam and Breana Bower of Piercetown, Arkansas; one daughter and son-in-law, Marlena and Kelsey Villines of Fouke, Arkansas; three brothers,
J.H. Middleton of Yardell, Arkansas, David Middleton and Ricky Middleton both of Mt. Judea, Arkansas; two sisters, Charlene Campbell of Piercetown, Arkansas and Betty Clark of Bergman, Arkansas; eight grandchildren, Paul, Charity, Paige, Dalton and Cole Bower, Abigail, Autumn and Blake Villines.

Funeral services were Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Piercetown Holiness Church with Rev. Dorvin Ricketts and Rev. Bob Harmon officiating. Burial followed in Smith Cemetery at Vendor. Visitation was Monday, March 28, 2011 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper.

Pallbearers were Clifton Flud, Jimmy Dale Middleton, Glen Middleton, J.R. Middleton, Ricky Middleton, Jr., Terry Middleton and Allen Bolin. Honorary pallbearers will be all other nephews.
