Marvis Kay Paul, age 74, of Harrison, Arkansas passed away July 16, 2013 at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri.
She was born on January 18, 1939 in Bellefonte, Arkansas to Marvin F. and Agnes (Dees) Jones.
She was a member of the First Christian Church of Harrison. She had worked at the Security Bank, owned Mountain Processors, and was a funeral director at Coffman Funeral Home.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, David Kent Paul; in-laws, Alfred and Flaurra (Gaylor) Paul; sisters-in-law Vonnie Mathis and Shirley Fenn; and aunt-mom, Thersia (Slack) Jones.
She is survived by her husband, Joey Paul of the home; 2 daughters, Melinda Silva and husband Anthony of Rogers, Arkansas, and Alisa Leard and husband Justin of Hong Kong; 4 grandchildren, Madison Mitchell, Mason Mitchell, Jacob Leard and Isabel Leard; 1 brother, Jerry Jones and wife Bonnie of Harrison; one sister, Gwen Bowen and husband Don of Richardson, Texas; and her beloved nieces and nephews.
Services was at the First Christian Church of Harrison on Friday, July 19, with Dr. David Artman and Robert Shaddox officiating. Visitation was held at the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Harrison.
Burial followed in Warner Cemetery near Olvey.
Pallbearers included Aaron Jones, Chris Graddy, Glen A. Boswell, Jim Slack, Mason Mitchell and Paul Roten. Honorary pallbearers included Drs. Carl and Sue Chambers, Lena Boswell, Norma Cutler, John Holt, Marvin Holt, Marcia Roberts, Jean Lowe and Martha Albright.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
