Marvin Eugene Roberts, 64, of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Cox Hospital in Branson, Missouri.

The son of Thomas Elmo and Betty Lou (Cassity) Roberts was born October 15, 1958 in Harrison. He lived in Harrison most of his life, except for 20 years spent in Washington. He was a member of Ridgeway Church of Christ.

Marvin worked many years as a truck driver. His favorite job was a farmer. He loved and enjoyed every aspect of running his farm. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing and had recently taken up duck and goose hunting. He looked forward to annual out of state hunting trips with his cousins.

Marvin was good at everything he set his mind to. Many things were approached with his "John Wayne" attitude, straight forward and no doubt as to where he stood. He was an excellent cook, even winning some local cooking contests. More than anything, Marvin loved his family. He adored his kids and especially his grandkids, spoiling them every chance he had.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother-in-law, Terry Widner; and grandparents, John Tom and Eliza Ethel (Holman) Roberts and Eli and Lottie (Camp) Cassity.

Marvin is survived by his wife of 15 years, Deedera "Deedy" Roberts ("Dee" as he called her); five children, Amber Matthews, Shaun Roberts (Jenny), Amanda Wyatt (Tim), Bridget Dobbins, and Bryan Arnold; five grandchildren, Mason Matthews, Tyce Pouncil, Kendry Dobbins, Darrian Dobbins, and Adrianna Roberts; five siblings, LaVerne Widner, LaVonne Nichols (Dennis), Phillip Roberts (Jannie), Tommy Roberts (Judy), and Bryan Roberts (Laura); his mother-in-law, Frances Dixon; two aunts, Helen Moore (Dwight) and Mona Turner; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends who loved him and will miss him.

Funeral service will be at 10 AM, Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel with Roger Nichols and Jordan Methvin officiating. Burial will follow at Gass Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday from 5 PM – 8 PM at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Danny Davis, Bill Collins, Rodney Anderson, Matt Widner, Jeff Schwartz, and Tony Nalley.

Honorary pallbearers are Tony Cassity, Shawn Cassity, Sam Brewster, Larry Walker, and all of his hunting buddies.
