Obituary

Martin David Bingham, age 75 of Jasper, AR passed away Monday, January 7, 2008 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison, AR.

The son of Howard and Pearl Ann (Garr) Bingham, was born July 14, 1932 in Caney, KS. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the Jasper Masonic Lodge #21. He was Worshipful Master and Secretary for Jasper and Swain Lodges. He also was an inventory production clerk for Safeway Stores in Garland, TX. He had moved to Newton County from Garland October 3, 1986.

Martin's parents preceded him in death, along with a brother, Charles Bingham and two sisters, Helen Wingard and Ruth Hoppes.

Survivors are his wife, Cora (Marsh) Bingham, of the home in Jasper; a son, Roy Bingham, of Princeton, TX; a daughter, Debra Comstock, of Garland, TX; two grandchildren, Steven Comstock and his wife, Michelle James-Comstock and Kimberly Nicole Comstock; two great grandchildren, Lisa-Anne Bridger and Chelsea James; and a host of nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends.

Service was Thursday, January 10, 2008 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper with Bro. David Faught, Sr. and Bro. David Faught, Jr., officiating. Masonic graveside service followed at Crossroads Cemetery near Deer. Visitation was Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at the funeral home.
