Martha Ruth (Chadwick) Terrill, age 79, formerly of Harrison, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on August 18, 2026 at Jamestown Nursing and Rehab in Rogers, AR with her daughters by her side.

Martha was born October 14, 1946 to Claud and Ola Chadwick of Leslie, Arkansas. She graduated from Leslie High School in 1964. She continued her education earning her Bachelors degree in Education from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN, her Masters degree in school counseling from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, AR, and her Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, AR.

Martha devoted 42 years of her life to education. She touched the lives of many students as a classroom teacher and counselor in Newport and St. Joe, AR, and then finally at North Arkansas College in Harrison, AR. She was a life long learner and instilled the belief in education in her three daughters, each following in her footsteps as educators. She earned many accolades during her life in education and was loved by many.

She was a passionate reader, spending hours reading to her girls when they were younger and then later to her grandchildren. Her excitement about books and stories was contagious.

Martha was a member of Capps Full Gospel Church in Harrison and enjoyed teaching Sunday School. She loved Jesus and her family and friends. She was a prayer warrior. She spent numerous hours reading and studying the Word, and she was a wonderful person to turn to with questions about the Bible.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Roy Terrill; her parents, Claud and Ola Chadwick; her sisters, Audrey Chadwick, Claudia Chadwick Martin, Marjorie Chadwick Stanley, Wanda Chadwick Weldon; and her brothers, Billie Chadwick, Jesse Chadwick, Arvil Chadwick, Bob Chadwick, and Arvie Chadwick.

Martha is survived by her daughters, Bonnie Murray and husband, Granvel of Rogers, AR; Holly Kelley and husband, James of Bergman, AR; and Shannon Edmonson of Farmington, AR; 5 grandsons, Anthony Murray, Tyler Rogers, Brett Edmonson (Brooke), Logan Murray, and Drew Edmonson, 2 granddaughters, Carissa Stalnaker (Evan), and Kamri Goodwyn (Brandon); and 3 great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Jane Chadwick Allen of Mountain Home, AR and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 20, 2026 from 5 PM to 7PM at Coffman Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held at 10 AM on Friday, August 21, 2026 at Maple Leaf Cemetery under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison. Pastor Eddie Reed will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Granvel Murray, James Kelley, Anthony Murray, Tyler Rogers, Brett Edmonson, Logan Murray, and Drew Edmonson.
