Obituary

Marlene Ann Wienert, age 83 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Friday August 3, 2018 at home surrounded by her family.

The daughter of Hugh and Esther (Lindberg) McIlraith was born on September 5, 1934 in Medford, Wisconsin.  She moved from Batavia, Illinois to Arkansas when she married the love of her life, Gilbert W. "Bud" Wienert on May 25, 1961.  She was a longtime member of Union Baptist Church.

She loved to cook and bake, especially for her family.  She also enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles.  Marlene and Bud had five children that she was very proud of and adored.  Throughout their childhood, she never missed an event or ballgame.  She was a good Christian and praying mother who loved reading God's word, and it was evident in the worn pages of her Bible.  She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother whose tender, loving nature will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Jeanne Larson and Myrna Hughes, two sisters-in-law, Lois Wienert and Ann King and a brother-in-law, Al King.

Marlene is survived by her husband of 57 years, Bud Wienert of the home; her five children, Linda Lewis (Robert) and Sheri Wienert, both of Rogers, Gary Wienert (Teresa), Greg Wienert and Carla Pettey (John) all of Harrison; a sister, Verda Miller of Greenville, TX; two sisters-in-law, Joan Mathis (Bill) of Strafford, MO and Carole Baughman (Glenn) and brother-in-law, Robert Wienert (Ora Lee) all of Harrison; six grandchildren, Blake Pettey (Keely), Garrett Wienert (Robin), Drew Pettey (Alexx), Dalton Wienert, Jake Wienert and Katy Wienert and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 10:00 am at Union Baptist Church with Pastor Bill Melton, Rev. Raymond Edwards and Matthew Rose officiating.  Burial will follow in Eoff Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Monday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Harrison.

Pallbearers are Grandsons and Sons-in-Law.  Honorary Pallbearers are Hospice of North Arkansas, Home Instead Senior Care, Elite Home Health, Area Agency on Aging, Dr. Stacy Armstrong and staff and the Ladies Sunday School Class at Union Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Union Baptist Church or Hospice of North Arkansas, 330 Hwy 5 N, Suite 20, Mountain Home, AR, 72653.
