Marlene Mae Milam, age 79, of Bee Branch, Arkansas, passed away at home on Thursday, February 3, 2022.

The daughter of Marvin and Clara (Spires) George was born on November 20, 1942 in Springfield, Arkansas.  She was a long-time resident of Morrilton, before moving to Harrison.  She lived in Harrison for 23 years before returning to Van Buren County. While living in Harrison, Marlene worked at Wal-Mart for 18 years and attended Capps Full Gospel Church. She was a Christian who loved the Lord and reading her Bible.

Marlene loved dancing and shopping, especially at yard sales and flea markets.  She also enjoyed to crochet.  She never met a stranger, she was caring, giving and hardworking, but sometimes could be onery and stubborn.  She thought her kids and grandkids hung the moon, and she loved them unconditionally.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, who raised her, John and Elva Mae Willis; a brother, Tony Spires, a sister, Hazel Lawery; aunts and uncles that were like her brothers and sisters, Emma, Rod, Casey, Lil, Jack, Von and Norma Dean and her husband, Benny Milam.

Marlene is survived by her children, Kim Sue Wyllia, Kevin Wayne Foster and wife Terena and Gidget Lynn Foster (Sims); two sisters, Freda Ware and Thelma Dickson who was also her aunt and best friend; seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation and family sharing will be Thursday, February 10, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 1:45PM at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.  Burial will immediately follow at Dongola Cemetery near Marshall.
