Marjorie Sue Hudson, of Harrison, passed away at her home on Sunday, August 9, 2026.  She was 85 years old. 

Marjorie was born in Portland, Indiana to Harold and Virginia (Stults) Whitenack on August 4, 1941.  A sister, born in 1943, Linda Jane, friend and playmate, completed the family.  Their dad "Whitey" and family moved to Racine, Wisconsin for several years, then to Sycamore, Illinois where Marjorie graduated in 1959.  She was employed for several years as Record Keeper and Secretary at Ideal Industries.  There she met and later married Roger K. Johnson at Salem Lutheran Church.  A few years later sons, Jeffrey and Michael, were welcomed into the family.  

"Margie's" parents had moved to Arkansas to assist the Henry Dietz family develop Diamond City, Arkansas, selling real estate and later construction of homes for retirees moving to the Lake Bull Shoals area.  Marjorie and Roger obtained real estate broker licenses, and he was also a journeyman electrician, assisting in new home construction.  They divorced in 1984.  She met and later married Dwain Hudson, of Parthenon, Arkansas and continued her career, traveling from his farm to Diamond City.  She enjoyed his family and their children.  Dwain died in 2002 after a battle with brain cancer.  Marjorie retired in 2005 and settled near her son's family in the Harrison area. 

She was preceded in death by one son, Michael Johnson; her husband, Dwain Hudson; and her parents. 

Survivors include one son, Jeffrey (Francie) Johnson; daughter-in-law, Shellie Johnson; grandchildren, A. Jay (Jordyn) Johnson, J. Brock (Holly) Johnson, Luke (Addie) Johnson, Ben (Kayden) Johnson, Lane (Shayla) Johnson, and Adam Johnson; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Dwain's sons, Christopher (Judy) Hudson and Bobby (Sue) Hudson; and his daughters, Patricia, Jeannie, Julie and Susan and their families. 

A private family gathering will be held at Milum Cemetery in Lead Hill.  Cremation and arrangements were under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison. 

Marjorie was happy with the many close family ties, achievements, and friendships along life's way, especially the churches, friends, and the love of Jesus and family.  Knowing they all hope to meet again in Heaven.  Her life verse was Nehemiah 8:10 "The joy of the Lord is my strength" and she often reminded people of John 3:16-18.  May Jesus Christ be praised!
