Marian Lee Mooney Wendland, age 73 of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away July 22, 2010 at Bristol Pointe Nursing Home in Harrison, Arkansas.

The daughter of James T. and Olive E. Dawkins Mooney was born November 17, 1936 in Bellaire, Ohio.

Marian was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Wesleyan Circle of United Methodist Church. She enjoyed being with her family and grandchildren. She is a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans. She served in the Air force for eight years.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Daniel Wendland; two brothers, Wayne Mooney and James B. Mooney; and two sisters, Martha Shirk and Margaret Mooney.

Marian Wendland is survived by her daughter, Beth Nelson and husband Tom of Everton, Arkansas and Beth's father, George Kitson and wife Judi of Omaha, Nebraska; her sons, Mark Kitson and wife Jamie of Omaha, Nebraska and Tom Wendland and wife Sandra of Ft. Worth, Texas; her brother, Reverend Henry Mooney and wife Mary Lou of Scio, Ohio; sister-in-law, Elsie Mooney of Texas; Brothers-in-law, Paul Shirk of Ohio, Larry Wendland of Harrison, and Jim Wendland of Harrison; her grandchildren, Cody Nelson, Ashley Nelson, Kiley Nelson, Zachary Nelson, Colin Kitson, Caitlin Kitson, and Leslie Wendland; one great grandchild, Lane Charles Nelson; and many nieces and nephews.

There was a memorial service Sunday, July 25, 2010 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison, Arkansas with John Darnall officiating.

Honorary pallbearers were Bristol Pointe Nursing Home, CCU and third and fourth floor Nurses station of North Arkansas Medical Center, Dr. Klepper and staff and Hospice of the Hills.
