Margaret Anne Wells was called home on April 26, 2023, at NARMC. She was 77. Margaret was born on July 16, 1945 to George A. Hamilton and Billie Jean (Wilson) Hamilton in Harrison, Arkansas.
Margaret graduated from Valley Springs School and was proud to say she was a "Tiger". She sought a career in the business world, starting with Turney Wood Products and First Federal Bank for 36 years. After retiring, she decided retirement wasn't for her. She went to work at Community First Bank for 4 years, retired again, and finally retired from Holt and Hudson CPA's after 3 years. She was a person who liked to be with people and enjoyed all of her customers through the years.
She met the love of her life, Bob Wells, and they married in 1964. They enjoyed years together, camping, flea marketing, and spending time with family and friends. The last few years, they enjoyed watching many ball games.
Margaret enjoyed quilting and made many beautiful quilts. She especially loved spending time with her grandkids and family. She served her community in various clubs and organizations, like Kiwanis and Boone County Special Services. She was a member of Bellefonte Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, George Hamilton and Joe Hamilton.
Margaret is survived by her husband, Bob Wells; her son, Robert Wells and his wife, Michelle. The joy of her life was her grandson, Taylor Wells and wife Kylea, and her granddaughter, Alexis Pearl Mae Wells. She is also survived by step grandchildren, Brittany Brewer and Robbie Holcomb; a brother, Kenneth Hamilton; sisters-in-law, Sharon Hamilton, Ina Hamilton, and Billie (Nolan) Brisco, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins, whom she loved very much.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 2, 2023 prior to the service beginning at Noon. The funeral service will immediately follow at 2 PM at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel with Jerry Greenhaw and Woody Daniels officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Boone County Special Services, 707 E. Rush Ave., Harrison, AR, 72601.
Pallbearers are Jim Brisco, Mike Fountain, Chris Cartwright, Taylor Wells, Robert Holt, and Greg Jasper.
