Obituary
Margaret "Meg" Jones, age 85 of Jasper, AR died peacefully in her sleep, Thursday, August 23, 2007 at her home in Jasper.
The daughter of Robert and Maude Victoria (Harwood) Rosser, was born July 13, 1922 in London, England. In 1952 she married George Arnsby Jones, in London. They came to the United States in 1962. She had been a resident of Jasper since 1979. She spent many years working with her husband, doing non-profit work for Peacehaven, Inc. She was a member of Jasper United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. She was also a homemaker and volunteered at the Newton County Senior Center for many years as a fitness trainer, where she received a certificate of achievement for master training in the fitness program.
Her parents preceded her in death, along with her husband, George in 1996; and a brother, Donald Rosser.
Survivors are her children, Roberta Cootes and Christopher Brook Orman, both of England, and Jan Self of Jasper; eight grandchildren and many friends.
Cremation arrangements are being handled by Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper.
Memorial service 10:30 A.M. Friday, August 31, 2007 at Jasper United Methodist Church with Pastor Larry Acton officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to hospice.
