Margaret Ann Bowles, age 88, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away at The Blossoms at Village Springs on Monday, February 16, 2026.
The daughter of Perry and Mabel (Berg) Smith was born April 8, 1937 in Fargo, North Dakota. For the last 20 years, she resided in Harrison and Hot Springs, Arkansas. She lived in Minnesota and Wisconsin most of her life. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Harrison.
She worked for Weyerhaeuser Lumber for a number of years. She also worked for the City of Hot Springs as an Animal Control Officer for several years.
Margaret enjoyed collecting frog figurines, crocheting and embroidery. She was a talented seamstress and a great cook, making the best bread and pastries. She was an avid gardener and loved African Violets. She loved her Pomeranian, JuJu. Margaret loved animals, owning a variety of animals throughout her life.
Margaret loved all of her grandchildren. Whitney was fortunate to spend many summers on her Wisconsin farm and provide care and companionship in her later years.
She was preceded in death by her father, Perry Smith, her mother, Mabel Berg, and a son, Don Stahl.
Margaret is survived by her son, David Stahl (Mel), four daughters, Bonita Walter (Peter), Barbara Rhodes (Ricky), Jeanie Tosh, and Renee Luebke (Steve); two sisters, Shirley Kolden and Donna Lease; 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Arrangements and cremation under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison.
