Obituary
Marcella G. Swenson, age 90 of Everton, AR passed away Sunday, May 21, 2006 at Hilltop Nursing Center in Harrison, AR.
She was born March 16, 1916 in Chicago, IL a daughter of Frank and Katherine (Long)Hilbrich.
Marcella married her husband, K.D. Swenson in 1946 and they moved from Texas to this area in 1947. She was a member of Mary Mother of God Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She also was an active member of the Everton Home Extension Club and the Monarch Club. She and her husband owned and operated a dairy farm until 1999. Marcella was a breast cancer survivor twice, in 1988 and 1989.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, K.D. Swenson in December of 2000; a son, Johnny Duane Swenson; and a brother, Lester Hilbrich.
Survivors are her son, Jerry Swenson and, Joyce of Marionville, MO; daughter, Cathy Sarver and husband, Don of Overland Park, KS and Mary Beth Reiss and husband, Hal of Kingston, AR; sister-in-law, Marion Hilbrich of Harrison; and grandchildren; Brad and Amy Sarver and Johnny Aldridge.
Memorial Mass service was Wednesday, at Mary Mother of God Catholic Church with Rev. Gregory G. Hart officiating.
Cremation arrangements are with Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Chairman, 207 S. Oak, Harrison, AR 72601.
