Maloy Norvell, age 84 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013 at his home.
The son of Hester and Della (Eden) Norvell was born March 18, 1929 at Hasty, Arkansas.
Maloy was a heavy equipment operator for many years and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was a member of Union Baptist Church, a former Assistant Scout Master, and volunteered for the Crooked Creek Fire Department.
He was a very kind and generous man who would do anything for anybody.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Pamela; a daughter, Tina Lucas; a brother, Glen Norvell; and two sisters, Maudie Collins and Mary Brown.
Survivors are his wife, Shirley (Simer) Norvell of the home; children, Ronald Norvell and wife, Marsha of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, Sandra Kieser of Pekin, Illinois, Rick Norvell of Harrison, Cathy Bradley and husband, Tim of Alpena, Arkansas, and Bill Norvell of Hockley, Texas; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
Service was Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel with Frank Fowler officiating.
Burial followed in Bellefonte Cemetery with pallbearers being Josh Bateman, Cody Gratias, Mike Kieser, Pete House, Lenny Tackett, and T.J. Tackett. Honorary pallbearer was Tom Skaggs.
