Mae Jackson Kaler, age 85 of Harrison, passed away Friday, June 2, 2006 at NARMC. The daughter of Andrew Watts and Ida Jane (Brown) Watts, was born June 12, 1920 at Gilbert, Arkansas. She was retired from the local hospital after 33 years of service as a dietary manager. She was a lifetime resident of the area and was a member of the Pine Street Missionary Baptist Church.
Her two husbands, Pat Jackson and Troy Kaler both preceded her in death.
Mrs. Kaler is survived by her three daughters and their spouses; Wanda and Bill Houghton of Green Forest, Linda and Harold Chaney of Flippin, and Mary Ann and Mike Hancock of Searcy; two sisters, Ethelene Shelton and Wanda Jean McCarville both of Harrison; seven grandchildren, Michael and Jamie Pratt, R. Lee Brouillard, Justin Hancock, Nathan, Seth, and Patrick Chaney; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was Sunday at Coffman Chapel. Service was Monday at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Bill Houghton officiating. Burial followed in Maplewood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Harold, Patrick, and Nathan Chaney, Mike and Justin Hancock and Andy Arreola. Honorary pallbearers were Seth Chaney, Russell Abernathy and Howard McCarville.
