Madge was a Christian and a member of the Methodist Church in St. Joe. In the past several years she attended church at the United Pentecostal Church in Pindall.
Madge loved her family and community. She was a great storyteller to her grandchildren about her growing up years with a few additions. They would always ask for special stories over and over.
She loved helping in her community. When there was a need she would work raising money for the project. She went door to door raising money for the Cancer Drive and received honorable mention in the county for raising the most money. She raised $1,000.00 by making pies and selling them for $5.00 each donating it to the new 4-H building at Searcy County Fairgrounds. She made calls to St. Joe Alumni raising money for a P.A. system for St. Joe school and met the goal. She was always willing to help families in the community. She has always lived within a couple of miles of where she was born and she felt very blessed to be a part of her community. She will be greatly missed.
