Mabel Faye Willis Dees, a lifelong resident of Boone County, passed from this life on December 23, 2022 at Hillcrest Nursing Home at the age of 99.  She was born August 13, 1923 in Olvey, Arkansas to Hugh Fred and Mary Frances (Taylor) Willis.

She was a Christian and a charter member of Woodland Heights Baptist Church.  She served as Sunday School teacher and WMU Leader.  She retired from Levi Strauss and Company and was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, of 61 years, Frank Dees; and her brother, Leon Willis.

Mabel is survived by three daughters, Frances and Richard Hiatt of Wasilla, Alaska, Judy and Gene Waters of Western Grove, Arkansas, Deanna and David Stratton of Harrison, Arkansas; and one son, Jim and Kathy Dees of Harrison, Arkansas.  She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives.

Open visitation will be Wednesday, December 28 from 10 AM to 8 PM, at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.

The funeral service will be at 2 PM, Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Coffman Funeral Home with Pastor Marshall Boggs officiating.  Burial will follow at Dees Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Gary Waters, Frank Hudson, Tim Stull, Keagan Chaney, Luke Hudson, Justin Yarbrough, C.J. Waters, and Zachary Stull.  Honorary pallbearers are Ally Rae and Dason Yarbrough.
