Lynna Ben Willis, age 43 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away peacefully with her mother by her side, Friday, July 18, 2014 at Baptist Medical Center Hospice House in Little Rock, Arkansas.
She was born September 16, 1970 to Bennie and Vicki (Glenn) Willis of Western Grove, Arkansas. She was the granddaughter of Oveline and the late R.B. Glenn and the late Kay and Demoie Willis.
Her children include Cole Rogers, Lauren Rankin and Olyvia Metheny and one grandchild, Savannah Rogers all of Harrison.
She was married to Terry Metheny.
Lynna Ben graduated from St. Joe High School in 1988, where she was Salutatorian of her class and also received the Red Cross Certificate for extraordinary personal action. She graduated from College of the Ozarks with a degree in elementary education. Soon after, she moved to Texas where she began teaching in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. She later moved to Bentonville, Arkansas where she taught the 6th grade at Spring Hill Elementary. She moved back to Searcy County, where she taught at Cotter Elementary for 4 years before transferring to the Mt. Judea/Deer School District.
She enjoyed teaching, school projects and being with her students. She also enjoyed 4-wheeling, horseback riding, antiquing, painting, decorating, and taking her two girls to the salon.
Visitation was Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
Service was Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel with Terry Crow officiating.
Burial followed in Beckham Cemetery with pallbearers being Cole Rogers, Bennie Willis, Wade Willis, Scott Willis, John John Adams, James "J.T." Willis, and Kevin Holder.
Honorary pallbearers were St. Joe Class of 1988, Jeff Whitaker, Ronnie and Jerry Willis, Kevin Beeman, Randy Rogers, and Larry, Joe and Thomas Glenn.
