Obituary
Lyndall Burgess Bailey, age 91 of Jasper, Arkansas passed away Monday, October 26, 2009 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison, Arkansas.
The son of Roscoe and Georgia (Johnson) Bailey was born April 30, 1918 at Louisville, Illinois. He was a truck driver for Halliburton and a veteran of the United States Army, serving in World War II.
He and his wife moved from Michigan to Newton County in 1992 and were members of Mt. Judea Church of Christ.
Lyndall was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Cathern (Vickery) Bailey; one daughter, Patty Bailey; three brothers; two sisters; and a great-grandchild.
Survivors are his children, Jerry and Jean Bailey of Arnold, Missouri, Carol and David Leak of Jasper, Arkansas, Terry Bailey and Bruce Bailey, both of Michigan, Roberta and James Vandenburg of Homer, Michigan, and Darla and Leo Fletcher of Walkerville, Michigan; fifteen grandchildren; and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Wednesday, October 28,, 2009 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper. The funeral service was held Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Mt. Judea Church of Christ with Jim Gaskill officiating. Pallbearers were the members of Mt. Judea Church of Christ.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Mt. Judea Church of Christ.
