Obituary

Lylia Mae Laffoon, of Harrison, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at Creekside at the Springs in Yellville.  She was 89 years old.

The daughter of Carl and Alma (Ditter) Kline was born on May 2, 1935 in Stayton, Oregon.

Lylia was a longtime member of Mary Mother of God Catholic Church.  She had a feisty personality and loved to make others happy.  Lylia enjoyed crocheting and made blankets for each of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed the time she spent with her family.  Lylia retired from McKesson after several years of employment.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Laffoon; one son, David Shower; and her parents.

Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Debbie and Gene Youngblood and Dorothy and Bill Wilson; seven grandchildren, Kelly, Nicki, Trenton, Brandon, Thomas, Timothy, and Lexi; 21 great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; one brother and his wife, Michael and Jennifer Kline; four sisters, Geraldine Downer, Lola Ann McAllister, Linda Hilderbrand and husband, Ken, and Jeani Schnoebelen and husband, Mike; and a host of other family and friends.

Graveside service will be held Friday, May 17, 2024 at Bellefonte Cemetery at 10:00 AM.  Deacon Mark Scouten will officiate. Pallbearers are Kelly Youngblood, Trenton Wilson, Brandon Wilson, Thomas Shower, Timothy Shower, and Andrew Writer.
