Obituary

Lucy Flud Norton of Piercetown, Arkansas moved from her earthly home to her heavenly home on October 16, 2018 at Cox Medical Center, Branson, Missouri at the age of 87.

Lucy was born September 1, 1931 in Vendor, Arkansas to Harve Martin and Nancy Jane (Campbell) Martin. She was married to Freddie Flud for 22 years and to Don Norton for 40 years. Lucy was a wife, mother, homemaker, farmer, and grocery store owner for most of her life. She was a life-long member of the Piercetown Holiness Church.

Lucy loved God and her family. It brought her great joy to share God's love with friends, family, and others. She was a strong- willed and determined woman who rarely took no for an answer. When she set her mind to do something, it usually got done. She was an inspiration to all who knew her, and she will be missed by many.

Lucy is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Freddie Flud, her second husband, Don Norton; one son, Donnie Flud; five brothers, Biner, Garland, Garrett, Jerry and Verlin Martin and three sisters; Addie Smith, Ethel Shatwell, and Hilman Middleton.

She is survived by three sons, Larry Flud of Western Grove, Arkansas, Bobby Flud of Piercetown, Arkansas, and Tommy Flud (Karen) of Piercetown, Arkansas; 3 sisters-in-law, Joy Burdine, Vendor, Arkansas, Sue Geren, Springdale, Arkansas and Zeola Yeager of Clarksville, Arkansas.
Five grandsons; Freddie Don Flud (McKensey) of Western Grove, Jason Flud (Chasity) of Harrison, Justin Flud (Vicki) of Everton,  Robby Flud (Sarah) of Mt Judea, and Shane Flud (Melissa) of Valley Springs.
Six granddaughters; Misty Tabor (Mike) of Yardelle, Stephanie Warner, Everton, Tamara Ross of Piercetown, Tracy Milne-Jones of Hasty, Krista Flud of Harrison, and Chelsea (Adam) Boucher of Conway.

She is also survived by twenty six great grandchildren; Donnie and Isaac Flud of Western Grove, Scott Flud of Harrison, Jordan Flud of Yardelle, Hunter Tramell (Makensey) of Western Grove, Chance Warner of Everton, Jayden Flud of Harrison, Austin and Braden Tabor of Yardelle, Lance Flud of Mt Judea, Treyzon and Caleb Milne-Jones of Missouri and Ethan Flud of Valley Springs, Sarah Flud and Sydney Marshall of Western Grove, Laighton Henderson and Londyn Flud of Harrison, Kara and Brooklyn Flud of Mt Judea, Karyce Flud of Valley Springs, Shaylen and Kailyn Ricketts, of Piercetown, Addie and Emma Blankenship of Everton, and Lynnex Flud of Harrison and Beckett Boucher due in April; 2 great-great grandchildren, Jaxon Flud of Yardelle and Liberty Flud of Harrison and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Grandsons, Great Grandsons, Great-Great Grandson.

Honorary pallbearers are her Nephews, Members of Piercetown Holiness Church, Staff at Newton County Nursing Home, Staff at Harrison Dialysis Center, Cox Medical Center in Branson, Missouri, and Special care-givers: Bonnie Brewer, Linda Holt and Lisa Flud.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, October 19, 2018 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper, AR.

Funeral service is 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Piercetown Holiness Church with Arlis Burks and Anthony Bower officiating. Burial will follow in Smith Cemetery in Vendor, Arkansas.
