Lucille D. Barnes, age 76 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Thursday, April 2, 2009 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
The daughter of James E. and Margaret (Powell) Gammill, she was born November 12, 1932 in Timbo, Arkansas.
She had lived in this area most of her life and was a homemaker.
She enjoyed sitting on her porch, yard work, and gardening. More than anything Mema wanted to be available for the security of her kids and grandkids.
Her parents preceded her in death, along with her brothers and sisters and one grandchild.
Survivors are her husband, Willie R. Barnes of the home; son, Danny Collins of Harrison; daughters, Debbie Wells and her husband, Carl and Dee Conner, all of Harrison; seven grandchildren, Brandon Ruley, Brian Wells, Cameron Wells, Carrie Ponder, D. J. Collins, Ashlee Colliver, and Waylon Wright; and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Sunday, April 5, 2009 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Services were Monday, April 6, 2009 at Grubb Springs Baptist Church with Rick Brisco officiating. Burial followed in Maplewood Cemetery with pallbearers being Brian Wells, Cameron Wells, D. J. Collins, Waylon Wright, Roger Diffey, and David Spencer. Honorary pallbearers were Brandon Ruley, Ashlee Colliver, Carrie Ponder, Alan Archer, Rick Gammill, Ronald Diffey, Carl Wells and Shirley Potter.
