Loydene (Reddell) Smith, age 72 of Jasper, Arkansas passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017 at her home.

The daughter of Hollis Reddell and Imo (Ricketts) Reddell was born on July 18, 1944 at Piercetown, Arkansas. She was a farmer/housewife and a lifelong resident of Newton County. Loydene was of the Pentecostal faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Dennis Devoe Smith; a son Shannon Devoe Smith and three brothers Willard Reddell, Elzie Reddell and Donald Reddell.

Survivors are a daughter and son-in-law Rona and Joe Cross of Jasper, Arkansas; four grandchildren Angela Ballard and husband Blue, Michelle Cross, D.J. Cross and Jessy Cross; six great-grandchildren Lane Lea, Blue Ballard, Harley Lea, Julius Lea, Austin Campbell and Arabella Campbell and many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Funeral services will be 10 A.M. Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the Piercetown Holiness Church with Brother Phil Pittman and Brother Ron Hubbard officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery at Vendor under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home of Jasper. Visitation will be 6 to 8 P.M. Friday, May 5, 2017 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper.

Pallbearers will be Gary Smith, Neal Gibson, Shaunie Reddell, Garry Reddell, Doug Gibson and James Carter. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Bill Gibson and Loydene's nieces and nephews.
