Obituary
Frankie Loydean Turney, age 75 of Harrison, passed away August 29, 2014 at the Hillcrest Nursing Home.
The daughter of Lonnie J. Turney and Era L. Abel was born August 20, 1939 in Harrison, Arkansas.
Loydean attended Harrison school and was a lifelong member of Eagle Heights Baptist Church. She enjoyed watching North Ark Pioneer basketball games and Arkansas Razorback basketball games. She also enjoyed listening to Dr. David Artman and Jerry Pledger and the Gospel Bluegrass group from the First Christian Church. She was a resident of the Hillcrest Nursing Home for almost seven years and before becoming a resident she would visit the nursing home frequently.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her sister, Marilyn Mathis of Harrison; her niece and her husband, Sonya and Kris Edwards and their children, Shelby and Gatlin: her nephew and his wife, Lonnie and Heather Mathis and their children, Sophia and Fletcher all of Harrison; and a host of cousins.
Funeral service was Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison with Robert Shaddox and Glenn Crenshaw officiating. Burial followed in Maplewood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bill Blevins, Sherman Blevins, Glenn Crenshaw, Kris Edwards, Lonnie Mathis, and Gatlin Edwards.
Honorary pallbearers were Staff of Hillcrest Nursing Home and Fletcher Mathis.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hillcrest Home Memorial Fund, 1111 Maplewood Road, Harrison, AR. 72601
