IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Louise
Ruble
February 22, 1938 – November 8, 2021
Louise Lawrence Ruble, age 83, a resident of Hillcrest Home found peace with the Lord on Monday, November 8, 2021, knowing that she will finally be reunited with her beloved husband, loving parents, brothers, and sisters.
Louise was born February 22, 1938 at Harrison. She was raised by her loving parents, Joseph Edward Lawrence and Charlotte Wilkins Lawrence.
Louise was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt who always put the needs of others before her own. Louise married her high school sweetheart, James Ruble, and they shared 56 wonderful years together. Together they raised two daughters, Kathy and Connie. Louise had a special place in her heart for her granddaughter Erin, and great granddaughter, Amelia Grace, who called her Grammy. She also considered her two sons-in-law as her sons.
Louise had a successful career as a medical laboratory and x-ray technician where she made many lifelong friends. Louise deeply loved and cherished her Lord and Savior. She has been a member of the First Presbyterian Church since she was a small child. In her retirement years, she spent countless hours being a caretaker of the church she loved so much.
Louise enjoyed the backroads, lakes, rivers, waterfalls, valleys, mountains, wildlife, and glorious sunrises and sunsets of the Ozarks.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Ruble; sisters, Anna Rhea Rabb, Gussie Morris, Reba Vick, Juanita Hughes and Edna Edwards; and brothers, Glenn Wilkins, Dale Lawrence, Elmo Lawrence, and Leon Lawrence.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Davis and son-in-law, Gail and Connie Stevenson and son-in-law, Steve; brothers, Jay Lawrence and wife, Marcille and David Lawrence and wife, Donna; granddaughter, Erin Davis; and great granddaughter, Amelia McDonald; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend a sincere and heartfelt thank you to the wonderful nurses and staff of Hillcrest Home for the exceptional, compassionate, and respectful care given to our mother during her time there.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 16 at Maplewood Cemetery with Pastor Jane Huffstetler officiating.
