Louie B. Pannell, age 89 of Eros, Arkansas passed away Monday January 22, 2018 in Harrison, Arkansas.
The son of Bridge and Bessie (Heath) Pannell was born on August 18, 1928 in Eros.
Louie was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. His constant smile and unselfish love are remembered by all who met him. Louie taught agriculture at Leslie, Bruno and Valley Springs and was very proud of his many FFA students and their state and national awards.
After retiring from teaching, Louie devoted more than 15 years to the care of his invalid wife.
He was seen often at area senior centers and enjoyed the activities at Silver Sneakers in Flippin. It was hard to find him at home because he was always out going somewhere, chauffeuring "the older ladies", going to music on the square or singing conventions and driving to retired teacher meetings.
He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, where he was stationed in Hawaii at the Hickman Air Force Base. He was a member of the Arkansas Cattlemen's Association, FFA Alumni, Farm Bureau, numerous area fair boards, the Retired Teachers Association, the Marion County Community Choir and a Deacon at Bruno Baptist Church
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Bootsie (Ussery) Pannell and a very special lady, Peggy.
