Obituary

Lou Smith, formerly of Berryville, Arkansas, passed away at her home in Marmaduke, on Saturday, September 17, 2022.  She was 67.

The daughter of the late Troy "Buge" Smith and Eunice (Filbeck) Smith was born January 5, 1955, in Berryville, where she lived most of her life.

Lou was an exceptional cook and loved being a Nanny.  She loved and cherished her family, especially her grandkids and great grandkids.  She never met a stranger, and her door was always open.  Lou loved unconditionally and accepted everyone.  You always knew where you stood with her.

Lou is survived by her daughters, Misty (Ryan) Shenk, Amanda (Kevin) Moore, and Jennifer (Jake) Mattix; her son, Jarrod Richardson; her significant other, John Traywick and his son, Jason Traywick; sisters, Rita (Jerry) Hale, Jane Jones, Brenda Hamilton, and Shelly (Rudy) Suttles; brother, Troy "Bud" Smith; 20 grandchildren, Quiglee (Hailey) Wren, Marrisa Adkins, Joe Adkins, Jorden Adkins, Maci Adkins, Brodyn Shenk, Christopher Moore, Callie Moore, Evan Dees, Calab Dees, Averie Mattix, Jana (Landon) Roberts, James Richardson, Jarrod Richardson, Jessa Richardson, Hudson Richardson, Augustus Richardson, Tiffany Traywick, Erika Traywick, and Kyle Traywick; 6 great grandchildren, Violet and Ivy Wren, Asher Edmonson, Kaydon Roberts, Rowyn Richardson, and Oliver Davis; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who loved her and will miss her.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests only your prayers.
