Velma Lorane Clayborn, age 99, of Deer, AR., passed away, Friday, July 8, 2022 at the Hillcrest Nursing Home in Harrison, AR.

The daughter of Franklin and Jane (Milsap) Hull was born February 19, 1923, in Dillon, AR.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vernie "Jake" Clayborn; her grandson, Jeff Clayborn; and her brother, Ira Hull.

Lorane attended the Pine Grove Church. She enjoyed, quilting, and cooking.  She loved flowers and gardening.  She also enjoyed going to the Newton County Senior Center and watching the Razorbacks play.

Lorane is survived by her sons; Roy Clayborn and wife Glenda of Deer, AR; Larry Clayborn of Valley Springs, AR; and Jackie Clayborn and wife Cheryl of Deer; her daughters, Pauline Burgess of Deer, Geraldine Marshall and husband Olen of Valley Springs, and Trena Connell and husband Roy of Alpena, AR.; her brothers, Bill Hull of Harrison, AR, and Kenneth Hull of Harrisonville, MO; her sister, Nettie Adams of Sanger, CA; 16 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and 9 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Monday, July 11, 2022 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper, AR.

The funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper with Pastors' Ricky Freeman, James Compton, and David Faught officiating. Burial will follow in Essex Cemetery in Limestone, AR.

Pallbearers will be Lorane's grandsons.

Honorary pallbearers are the Staff of Hillcrest Nursing Home, the staff of Highland Court Nursing Home in Marshall, AR, Leslie Daniels, and Billy LeBleu.
